Through a partnership with NKU/ Thomas More/Gateway Community and Technical College students attend college for half a day (either morning or afternoon—spending the other half day at their school) at the Boone County Gateway Community and Technical College’s Florence campus with the potential of earning 24 college credit hours a year. Likewise, this program provides students with college-level experiences while still in high school, so that they are better prepared for the college experience. The courses are weighted and will transfer to any KY public two-year or four-year college. Transportation will be provided from high schools; students may also drive

Over 87% of all grades during the 2015 pilot semester were A's and B's. At least 40 students earned over 20 college credit hours, and through early college many students found ways to earn over 30 hours in one school year while still participating in high school activities like sports, band, and art. We are seeing marked increases on the ACT test.

Students with an 84% average in thier classes and close to/or at/ ACT benchmark (Guidance Counselors can provide more information on working towards this eligibility requirement.)
